Tiffany Allison's Story

Tiffany Allison was her ex-boyfriend's fifth victim, but due to current legislation he may be out early on good behavior. Allison is fighting for stricter sentencing and longer jail time for repeat offenders. Read her story and why she is standing up for victim's rights.

The following is a summary of the proposed habitual violent offender legislation:
  • Offense must be offender's third violent felony
  • A mandatory risk assessment is given at various points of the criminal justice process including when offender is charged, during his/her time in prison, before paroled.
  • Offender would serve at least 85 percent of their sentence prior to becoming eligible for earned good time.
  • Parole would last at least one year and would begin in a residential facility.
